I was lucky enough to receive a new Burmese Star this week, so I had to take a few pictures. This is the first time I have tried Tinypics, so I hope it works. I'm sorry, they aren't great (as usual with my pictures), but here she is, with her friends.

Oh, Jeff...What a pretty little thing! You're amassing quite a nice herd of them.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. I feel really lucky to have the privilege of keeping these guys. They are amazing! I originally decided to keep them because they are so critically endangered, but after having them for a few months, I have realized that they may also have the most awesome personalities of any tortoise.

I know I only have babies, and they will change over time, but these babies are the most unafraid and outgoing torts I have ever experienced. Half the time when I pick them up, they don't even pull in. If they do, they come back out within seconds of when I put them down. I wish they weren't so rare and expensive. This is a species that everyone should keep. So far, from my limited experience, they are the perfect tortoise.

I'm sorry Tom, I know exactly what you mean. I just can't lie - they are incredible! If you really don't want to hear about how great they are, maybe you shouldn't read this forum. :p

Hey, they have that ignore feature where I won't be able to see your posts! :D

Haha. Even if I did that, I would still sneak around in moments of weakness and check for new pics...
