New Red Ear Slider :)

I just got a baby red ear slider from a pet store. He is in a 20 gallon aquarium but it only has a basking dock what else could i add to the aquarium? Im going to the store tomorrow to get some plants...

Some type of hide would be helpful. I have a soft spot for RES, I got a pond full of them. Just a warning live plants may be completely eaten, quickly.

Ok should i get fake plants or will he try to eat them? And just wondering but...how long will it be before he gets too big for a 20gal?
