Really cool..and give's me a few ideas.
How big is that enclosure? and do you put anything underneath the soil/substrate? I was thinking of building a wooden one, but am scared the wood may rot from the moisture.

You do not need to worry about that. I have observed wild Hermann's and marginated tortoises eating fallen olives in groves for well over a decade.

Cool! I think it is so cute how they walk around with a little mountain of dirt on their backs for a while after they first dig out!! :)

I'm not sure of the size, will have to measure, I bought a cheap unit from ikea and used the frame, I screwed some wood to the base and put tarpaulin over the bottom and slightly up the edges then attached to the vivarium. All the wood has that waterproof fake wood veneer stuff over it (sorry cant remember proper name) but put plastic under substrate anyway so I didn't have to worry about pouring water onto the substrate.

I love it. You did a really good job. It does look very calming to look at. Except the light on the clamp. Be very sure that can't fall. Better if you could hang it. They have been known to give way and start fires or burn torts. Other then the worry of that, I wouldn't mind living in that box.:D
