Thats two down three to go. People don't seem to want free turtles once they get past 2 inches or so. I have a feeling I am going to have even more trouble getting homes for the ones I get this summer. There will probably be a whole lot of them! maybe I should start charging a re-homing fee so people don't think there is something wrong with them, lol.

Hey, I'll probably be looking for juvies about the size of my babies in a couple years, so you just hang onto those for me. ;)

LOL. Will do. I am hoping to get some babies from Lyle and my female ornate. She lays every year and they have been at it quite a bit so keep your fingers crossed that there might be some pure Ornate hatchlings by this Fall!

They are three-toed box turtles. About 10 months old. I have three of the larger ones left. They are larger because we found them and over-wintered them indoors. The two little ones were not found and over-wintered in the garden and were found while we were tilling in late March.
