I'm going to make a outdoor enclosure for my cherry heads in the next couple of days and wanted to know what's the best way to maintain/make humidity for them outdoors due the the dryness of Southern California. I have just been running a humidifier for 6hrs a day in there indoor enclosure.

Maybe make a cool bunker with some moss inside. You could set up a tiny sprinkler so it keeps the moss hydrated which gives good humidity or you could spray it yourself. All tortoises love cuddling in moss.

You can buy the misting hoses. You can also buy a hose timer. It attaches to the hose faucet and then the hose to it.

For my redfoots I use sprinklers, and burrows that I built myself. Plus a pond/stream. Also, vegitation will help to maintain a moist environment.
