So I'm wondering how many hours of sunlight should be on the outside enclosure. Mine gets sun from 7am Ish to 2:30. Is that enough? From then on its in the shade.

Even in the shade, as long as its not obstructed by glass or mesh, UVB gets through.
It's fine an enclosure going into shade outdoors. What's important is the temperatures.

It seems to stay in the eighties for a couple hours. Now it's in the mid seventies according to my IFR gun. Although that is the temp of the ground. Air temperature is mid eighties.
This depends on the temperatures.
