Picky eater

So lucky me I have another picky eater. Last time it was a Herman’s tortoise who only wanted flowers for a good 6 months, now a 2 month old Sulcata who only eats mazuri tortoise diet and vegetation if it’s covered in mazuri. Does this happen often with youngsters or am I just special?

Nope, it happens often. My sully was stuck on iceberg lettuce when I got him. I struggled because I didn't want him to go hungry. It takes a little tough love and trying different greens. When he gets hungry he will eat.
Romaine and dandelion was how I got Opo to eat different things. Now he eats just about anything I give him. Sometimes he will smell his food and walk away. By the end of the day he will eat. A little tort can go a few days without eating. Good luck.
