If that's what it is, its fine to feed some once in a while. I grow my own and feed it to all of mine about once or twice a week, mixed in with a ton of grass. For babies, I strip the soft leaves off of the hard stems. Then I chop up the hard stems into small pieces and mix it in with the chopped green grass for my adults.
