So if you were to walk into a nursery (plant) with money to set up a new home for you baby leopard tort what would you get for the beautiful Arizona weather..... to grow in his home and for food....

I don't think so. Its just that I don't know your weather and am unable to answer.

Now if you asked what I'd buy here in California:

Rose of Sharon
Thompson seedless grape vine (for the leaves)
fruitless mulberry tree
day lilies
ornamental grasses
malva
lots of dichondra and clover seeds
some cactus and succulents
and the list goes on....

Like Yvonne, I can't answer for your areas (except there would be one of the purple leaved prickly pear cactus I saw a couple of years back down there).
I do love almost nothing better then having a pocket of money to go plant shopping for tortoise habitats. :cool: :D This time of year it's even more fun, plant clearance sales are on. :tort:
