What do I do if our power goes out here in palmdale California! Will my Russian be ok?! D: we have a big lightning storm! D: his lights just flickered! I need the power for: UVB and heat!
lushcious said:Well, it should be fine as long as the power isn't out for long. If the temps aren't below 75 degrees, there shouldn't be anything to worry about. If it's colder, then try to give your torts a warm/hot soak.
Agreed always good to have on hand, just in case. Any camping or army surplus store should carry them.Laura said:get some of those packets of handwarmers... good for travel and times like this...

Alan RF said:It's either the hand warmers etc or you snuggle up and go to bed with them!
smarch said:Or ya know snuggle up in bed with him and wake up with a nice poop next to you and no tortoise in sight and no that hasn't happened to me I can just see Franklin doing it haha
Alan RF said:As a mum I'd let you only because I'd be worried about the tortoise getting cold! if it pooped then you'd have to sort out that though
TortoiseBoy1999 said:Should I leave my Russian out in the rain? In a secure enclosure? I thought they like the rain. Heres a pic of the enclosure:
Laurie said:If the enclosure doesn't flood AND he has a dry area to get out of the rain, he can be left out. My Russian doesn't seem to like the rain he goes in his hut.
