Powersun - how far from torts?

Hiya I've got a powersun MVB and just wondered how far above the torts I should put it. I'm attaching it to a piece of wood so it can be any height. Thanks x

It tells you on the box the light came in. I think each brand is different, but most tell you not any closer than 12" (I think).

I start with what the manufacturer recommends and then adjust the height to get the right temperature for my basking spot.
