So Sheldins enclosure is DONE!

I planted plants that I had around my yard. Baby tears, lavender, succulent( chick and hen), Dianthus, seeded with grazing tortoise mix, chicory seeds, and dandelions. Hope you guys like it. I know I do!

That's great! You did a very nice job. Looks safe, big enough, and secure...BUT...you made the same mistake so many members make when showing their new enclosures. It needs for us to see a tortoise in there!

Nice....I would place a thicker piece of slate stone over the top of the corner hide allow a way for it to remain cooler when the sun is overhead...or place some border bricks around the edges and then fill in the middle with packed in dirt as an insulator....

I would also get a piece of plywood or some type of slat shade item that you can lay on the top of the screen cover...this way there will always be someplace for shade...

Sorry Yvonne here is a pic with her in it.

where her corner hid is it is always in the shade. the brick wall shades that area so I don't think it will be to hot in there for her. I will be checking the my temp gun on a hot day to make sure it is nice temp for her. the way the sun comes up in my back yard she will always have 1/2 sun 1/2 shade.

She is going to enjoy being out there, especially when the plants fill in. Is that log hallow along with being a nice long thing to climb on? (As for the picture needing a tortoise in there, don't remind Yvonne but almost all of mine never show the tortoise or turtle. :)).
