In preparation of hibernation, my adult Russian male has been fasting for almost two weeks (I think this coming Tuesday is exactly two weeks). I've been giving him extra soaks to keep him hydrated. This morning I noticed he pooped just a little bit; it's shorter than an inch long. Since it has been almost two weeks, I'm just wondering if I should be concerned as to whether there is still more food in his system? Should he fast a little extra? The last time he pooped before today was last week while soaking, so I didn't really expect to see anything else after that. I've removed his potted plants from his enclosure so he has had no access to any food these past two weeks. I would rather be certain that he doesn't have any remaining food in his system before he enters hibernation. Is there any reason to be concerned? @Tom if you have any tips, I would very grateful.
