Hello!
I have a leopard tortoise with a red rash on their back leg. About 2 months ago I got my tort a new large water dish but over time I realized that that particular dish grew algae pretty easily and had some sort of leak underneath that caused the substrate around it to mold. I tried doing different things to keep the water from leaking but ended up just replacing it with a shallow ceramic dish. I say all of this thinking that maybe the mold caused a fungal infection?
I just did a full deep clean and substrate replacement and I had a vet appointment for today but the vet got covid and will probably push the appointment to next week. In the meantime I was wondering if anyone had advice for possible treatments at home while I wait for the appointment?
Thanks for any help!
