Hello everyone,

My name is Chris and I have a leopard tortoise about to turn 15 months old in November 2019.

Everything seems to be fine visually and physically on a day-to-day basis so I thought but I must have missed something as the other day I noticed a bit of redness on my tortoise's face.

Not sure it's a dry skin rash or a wound she received while digging or rubbing her face onto something in her enclosure.

I know in the wild they are exposed to harsher environments but I thought I would ask the many more knowledgeable tortoise owners here if they can look at the pics and let me know if there is anything I need to do.

I don't have any opinions but looking up dry skin etc it seems some people use like coconut oil and since my leopard tortoise enclosure has plants like aloe vera, would it be a bad idea to put a bit of that natural aloe vera on that reddish spot?

I don't know, Chris. Maybe it's just discoloration from something he's been eating? Have you tried to scrub it off?
