I see a lot of posts about the Muzuri food. Because I had heard so many great reviews about it while doing an on line search I bought it in the past only to read the ingredients list and notice that it had artificial ingredients in it. I wonder if it is causing certain torts to be picky eaters? I also wonder if the inorganic and unnatural ingredients are harmful? I feed as close to a natural diet as possible and even plant edibles in my little Moxie girl's indoor home. Does anyone have any more information on the Muzuri food's ingredients list that would be helpful? It makes me wonder about it and I want to make 100% sure it's actually good and helpful for her. Thanks. :)

I think that's a topic of much debate among members of the forum, and you'll find people leaning heavily in both directions.

I give my redfoots many of the weeds and foods listed above.
For a good clean, low fat protein source, I rehydrate ProPlan adult maintenance low fat cat food weekly with fruit and sprinkle calcium powder on it. I got this from Terry at Turtletary.com. I use papaya, kiwi, cactus fruit, mangos. I feed snail vine flowers, dandelion, grasses, grape leafs, hibiscus flowers and leafs, cut up squash, collard greens and kale sparingly.
My 7 redfoots eat anything.

4 days of the week include: overipe Papaya, Mangos, Cactus, Greens, Spring Mix, Mushrooms, Grapes, over ripe Banana's as treats.
1 Day of Animal Protein: Chicken, Hi Protein Cat Food (about to try TroutFood as suggested at Redfoottortoise.com -Higher protein less fat)
Mazuri once or twice a week thrown over the ground so they can forage for it.
Usually 1 day a week I give them a food break --sometimes 2

Oh and Cuttlebone everywhere. My Redfoots are eating it right now like Candy. Maybe eggs are coming.

My favorite resource for feeding variety:

The key to feeding is diversity. Rotate things around weekly and provide a wide array of foods if you can.
