What are the differences between Redfoots and Cherryheads? This might be a stupid question but when I search up Cherryheads on google they look exactly like Redfoots to me. (I know I’m such a noob).. lol

While I don't keep Cherryheads or Redfoots, my understanding is that both are the same species, but Cherryheads have been selectively bred to maintain the red markings on their head throughout their lives. Redfoots will often lose the red markings on their head as they get older or sometimes the red will turn more of a yellow color. Cherryheads also tend to stay a bit smaller than Redfoots.

It has to do with a lot of the location these tortoises are found. They have small varieations from each locality. Others can help more exactly the differences but size and color are big. Also marbaling in cherry heads are a give away
