so I have a really nice enclosure someone built in woodshop at school/ very solid, and has a glass lining in it. Unfortunately when they were bringing it over to my place they broke 2 sides so i need to replace the glass. the enclosure housed two russin torts and now just one,.
what I don't like about it is that to see the tort, you have to be standing. I was thinking about taking out the inside of the first panel and having that glass so you can see in. I would actually prefer to sell it but no way would I get anywhere near what I paid for it so am trying to think of different ways to improve it. what would you guys suggest?

The picture you have is hard to tell as it looks line a dresser. Maybe if you take more pics it will get someone's creative juice going :)

It does look like a dresser that's true, I liked it except that you can't see the tortoise unless you stand up, as the top is open, it is like a big tank inserted in it. The person did a great job making it.
I went with building another enclosure so that is probably a good end result as it is bigger than that one. :)

What I would want to do is take the front out, as you mentioned and put plexiglass in the front. I would put a barrier on the bottom, so that they can't see out but low enough that you can see in, if that amkes sense.

In my picture, if I had to stand to look in, I would cut under the front plexiglass and drop the wooden wall about half way.
Good luck

I like your enclosure!
I was just thinking that she spends all her time digging that I wonder if she could cause herself harm pushing the plexiglass , i have a huge tank but was leery of putting her in in case she hits her shell hard against the glass and hurts herself,
