Res fighting maybe?

Are my res turtles fighting? I've had them for about 4 months now. They've been fine all along but now tonight I've noticed them doing something really weird?
They keep going head to head with their arms out and their arms shake fast and it looks like they're opening their mouth. But not actually trying to bite? It's weird. Any suggestions on to what they might be doing? Now they're just swimming around again normal

Im pretty sure you have a male and a female its basically a sort of a mating thing mine do the same after the male might go around in try to mount her if she lets him but if there to young there basically practicing hope this help Im sure other might have more input

The fluttering claw movements that red eared sliders sometimes exhibit is most often a courtship ritual or "mating dance," though not exclusively. One turtle will face another head on and flutter or vibrate its front claws around the other turtle's head. It is most often males that exhibit this behavior, but not exclusively (so it can't be used to identify males and females). The performance of the courtship ritual does not necessarily mean mating will occur however, and sometimes it thought to be more of a dominance or territorial type of behavior.

I got them at the same time from a pet shop near me, if they are trying to mate does it matter if they are from the same mother? I don't know for sure if they are but I'm assuming.

And yes there just babies so I'm assuming to young to mate right now. Will they mate on their own?

And yes one was definitely trying to mount the other on and it's tail was sticking up weird. Their just babies! lol

Since their just babies that would point to dominance dance which is exactly the same as courtship ritual. Both male and females will do it. Females will even try and mount just like males to try and show dominance.

So i dont even consider it practice of courtship it is straight up dominance

Yep, as long as you dont see actual fighting its fine. Plenty of videos of res doing it to fish or inanimate objects.
