Resizing issue

Can anyone tell me how to resize using IrfanView?

And if I use photobucket to resize, does it only resize on the website or actually in the file on my Hard drive? My picture sizes are just way too big

I LOVE Irfanview!!

With the picture you want to re-size on your screen, click on "image." When that window pops up, click on "resize/resample." I usually use 1024x768 pixels, then click ok. Then you have to save that picture and send the big one to the recycle bin. Since all my pictures have been saved to the new smaller size, I don't know if Photobucket re-sizes them or not.

Photobucket automaticly resizes all pictures you upload. I've never had a problem putting a picture in a post from photobucket and I don't resize from what photobucket does.

Are you sure the picture size is 1024 X 78, Yvonne? Sounds a bit off Might it be 780?

1024x768. I guess my finger slipped off as I was typing. I've fixed my post.

Thanks I went with Photobucket at least for now. Just saw now someone replied to this. But now since I know how to use IrfanView i'll use that.

I ended up downloading all my photobucket pictures as the largest size first (oops didnt know I could resize as they downloaded). Then I saw the thing where you can download them smaller. So had to download them all over again.
