It’s been about 9 years in the making and slowly building my Russian tortoise colony up but I have finally gotten my first clutch of eggs today. Two decent sized ones almost 30 grams each. After hatching my first box turtles last years and having a clutch of this years box turtle eggs already hatching I feel like I’m on a roll here. Fingers crossed some more of my females will lay some clutches this season too!

Congrats and good luck with all of your females plus the eggs and babies.

It looks like you've dampened the vermiculite? Keep it dry for Russian eggs. Those eggs are taking on water as you read this, so go move them ASAP.

Russian eggs need dry media, but humid air.

Goo luck with the incubation! I hope you succeed!
