So much for that... sorry, hit the wrong buttons, trying again. I was wondering if y‘all might lend your judgment on the sex of my reds? I have 10, two adults and 8 juveniles. One of the 8 missed picture day, so here are 7 of them.BD47DF31-550C-480D-9567-0D0D09EBBEA7.jpegC24E94F5-F2B9-4FAC-AEA2-C225F3A5F07B.jpeg19C22997-93FF-4C5B-A7E8-22061408C4D8.jpeg91E2F132-58DD-4202-BA1C-ABB061213030.jpeg220AE1FC-4D08-444D-9D68-75F912D6F886.jpegADAC01D4-BC08-48BA-A26A-0EA9CDF6E2FB.jpeg106D7880-2D5E-415D-8083-0E75DA99A018.jpeg

Honestly they all look female imo. Need a better picture of the tail on 2 and 3.

Also the white on the Plastron of a couple of them is fungus. It should be treated with an anti fungal cream before it gets worse.

thank you, Toddrickfl1, I thou they looked like girls, but wasn’t sure. I do have to treat that fungus every summer, there’s always one or two that will have it. Two of the reds have darker plastrons, and one dark and one light plastroned have started to marble. I was curious about that because I was under the impression that only the cherry heads marbled.

In the pet trade they're bloodlines are so mixed up. The ones that are Marbling most likely have some Cherry head blood somewhere down the line. I've got a typical northern that started Marbling much to my surprise.

None of mine (other than my adult male) show that kind of concavity, but the angle of the anal scutes on 5 and 7 had me concerned they might be boys.
i use clotrimazole cream on the shell rot.

They all look to be female to me as well. By that size you would have other male characteristics show up by now.

Wow! I was hoping for mostly girls, but all girls... should I start looking for another male? will one male cover the 9 girls without a little competition?

Seems like a lot of work for one male. I’d probably get another 2 males to be honest.
