He's doing great!! He comes out a lot more now and he has been eating a ton. He's also not so shy. When I pick him up and hold him in my hand, he doesn't go into his shell

My granddaughter and I use our local soil, which is sandy, mixed with a potting soil that does not have fertilizer mixed in. We wet it down enough so that not only does it provide moisture and humidity but a place for our Lily to dig. We keep a little hand rake on the habitat and rake it all around each morning so that she thinks she has fresh dirt to dig in. :)
