My hermans laid two eggs last month. This is the first clutch I have had from her and unsure if she has lay previously. They are a strange 'tic tak' shape. Anyone have any ideas as to why? I incubated the eggs but no joy but iv since read about humidity within the incubator and I didn't take that into account at the time :-(View attachment 88016

Any info regarding humidity would also be appreciated. Thanks
i have this very similar egg shape of my tortoise but the shell was so clear that we could see the eggyolk on the first day... this is the very first time we had her egg and we dont know how to incubate it... could any one help me please?

Because it's in the water, I'm thinking you probably have a water turtle. Can the turtle get out of the water? They usually dig down into the dirt outside the pond to lay their eggs.

If you'll post a picture of the turtle that laid this egg, we'll I.D. it for you. Most water turtle eggs are that shape.

You have to take the egg out of the water, but if it's been in the water for 2 days, it's probably no good anymore.
