[/font]Short of a Two Headed Tortoise, what are some of the Strangest Tort Mutations gve you seen in an otherwise Normal Group of Hatchlings. Here is one of my Baby Torts that I hope grows up exactly as it looks Today. Lets see some others ..

Here it is with a Sibling from the same batch. No other mutations of any kind in the batch!

I think the mutation he's speaking about is the top scute nearest to the head of the left tort, in addition to the other displaced scutes. If you see closely, there appears to be a distortion of that acute. Am I right OP? Unfortunately, mutated animals usually don't live too long. In this case, I hope I'm wrong because it is unique I deed.

I see what you mean, but i dont think thats a second head, maybe his leg kinda bent and looking funny? Or extra loose neck skin?....plus the OP made a reference in the beginning saying "short of a two headed tort' etc.... Im thinking the mutation is the extra scutes on either side? Either way, thats a cool lil dude!

I was so fixated on the extra two scutes on either side, i totally missed the 4th and 5th vertebral scutes seem to have merged into one mega scute....is there a term for that? Reversed split scute?

I had some unusual colors this year, but nothing like that.
