Stuck in the corner

My tortoise is very active but when I put him back into his enclosure he will go straight to the corner and scratch at it for a long time until I move him away from it. He will only do it in one of the four corners. Does any one know why this is?

Mine always does this but he is trying to bury underneath the wood chippings to sleep : )

put a hide in the corner for him to feel secure. WHen they feel secure they don't try to escape 24/7
