So I heard it's better if I got 3 of them and not a pair. I already have 1, would the other 2 need to be from different batches or parents? Or can I get 2 from the same clutch?

You should quarantine those from different parents. If you're going to be breeding them, get unrelated animals.

There is no guarantee that even if you get a group of three that they will get along. If you get babies or juveniles, you won't know what genders you have until they mature.
