I brought my two sulcatas in for the winter, I live in wis. They have started breeding like crazy. Is this breeding season? And should I expect eggs? Will they incubate in a chicken incubator? Thanks
They need to be separated. If not, your female will become very stressed and develop health problems. Tortoises should never be housed together, especially a breeding pair.
This is the time of year for mine. Although the males will try all year. I know it's the time of year when the females stand still. I would think indoors it would be very hard to give them enough space for it all. And yes pairs without ample space is not a good thing.
