My two year old russian (ToTo) has bubbles in her eyes and it seems to have gotten worse! The bubbles are on her eyelids and inside her eye. Sometimes the bubbles are there and sometimes they are not! It usually happens when she's just woken up and it gets to a point where i think it hurts her because she doesn't open her eye at times! It worries me a lot! I don't know what to do and I shop someone can help me!!!
Oh and i am using wood shavings but the pet store owner said it was alright to use it and i spray water on it everyday to make it moist!
Sorry i haven't got a picture as my camera can't focus well enough!

Thank you!!!

Ut oh, what kind of wood shavings are you using? Pine and cedar are no bueno! I would remove your tortie asap and see if it helps, put him on paper towels if you have to. Cypress and coconut coir are good alternatives.

I agree...I would remove the wood chip things, not good. Also, I would soak him in warm water to make sure he is hydrated....In my opinion. :)

Agree with the above. Something is irritating her eyes, so assume it is the chips you are using and switch to topsoil or cypress mulch (a safe wood substrate) or coir, or some combination. (Many pet stores don't give the best advice, unfortunately).
If you are using cypress mulch already, and she has access to water and has been soaked daily for a few days, then it is time for a vet visit.

I soak her five times a week, sometimes everyday if i have time! I will soak her for about 15 minutes :) Thank you for everyone's advice! I have been seeing improvements since the day i posted the post and she seems to be doing quite good! I got some advice from a family member's friend because she is a vet! If this problem occurs i WILL take her to the vet. Where would be able to purchase the cypress mulch?

Thank you

Cypress can found at home depot and lowes in the southern states for a better price than most pet stores.
Id pick up the phone and make some calls.

I'm from the UK so i don't think there is a home depot here. Thank you for the suggestion though, I could probably get it online! Thanks a lot! :)
