You need a indoor enclosure that stays 75 to 80 with a pig blanket for the winter. Summer they need shade or a hide where they can regulate their body temperature so they dont over heat. Also make sure they have access to water 24 7. I have a mud hole for mine in the the summer that he uses regularly.Hope this help send us some pics of your tort, enclosure and box once you get it going.

This is too complex a subject for me to just list a couple of numbers. Indoors I like to maintain an ambient of at least 80 degrees F 24/7, and then offer a 100 degree basking site for 12 hours a day.

When they are babies, like yours, I like to put them out for an hour or two a day, when its warm, and leave them inside in their perfect conditions for most of the day and night. As they grow, I leave them out longer and longer until by around 5-6" they are outside all day everyday, weather permitting. But they still sleep inside until they are around 8-10". At that point I move them outside full time with a proper enclosure including a heated box for night and cold days.

I do not recommend you leave a baby outside all the time in a dry climate, regardless of the temps. I have seen it attempted many times, I am attempting it myself right now, and I've never been happy with the results compared to a mostly indoors housed baby.
