My temp gun just came in and I'm super happy. So under Mrs.Turtles heat lamp it's about 86-90 degrees and on the moist cool side it's about 70-73 degrees. Are these temps good?

Now the tort table. I'm wanting to build one in my room since her 40 gallon doesn't seem to be doing the trick anymore. So what type of wood do I get that's resistant to water and all the other things.

Sorry if that was a ton.

Look into buying a water trough. They might better fit your budget:

How big of an area do you have to work with? What is your budget range? Are you good at building things? Do you have access to items at your home already i.e, tools, building materials, etc. I built a customized 3'x3' enclosure that I incorporated into my drafting table at home. I spent about $80-100 on the materials as I wanted it to function as a pullout under the table. Reality is I had most of the material laying around and probably could of built it for under $50. Yvonne's trough will function quite nicely so long as you figure out the lighting system and cover.

Im using my whole room witch is 115 inches length and 85 inches width.
I do have access to tools, me and my dad are pretty good, definitely no master carpenter. Well I'm looking at a tub from water land tubs and it's about 300 dollars and apparently my dad is ok with buying it for me so I'd say the budget is 300-400. It's rectangle shaped and 1/4 of it is a water dish.

If this is the case I would invest in a a raised garden kit! Like this one. I know many members on here that use a setup like this one for their torts. They run around $100-150 with the clear vinyl top. This one is on sale at sams club for $112.
