My tort has loved, and I would highly suggest, getting a cuttlefish bone to drop into their habitat.

You can find the bones at most fish/bird/reptile stores, or any general pet store. It is a good source of calcium and it helps them gnaw off any extra beak growth. I use the Reptical + Vit D3 + calcium supplement a couple of days a week and my Sulcata still eats the cuttlefish bone at her leisure. She doesn't chomp on it every day, but she has her moments where she will eat a LOT of it all at once.

Your tort has biological ques that let them know what they need, and having the extra calcium around is a good idea. The cuttlefish bones are super cheap. From what I remember they come 2 to a pack and they are only a few dollars. They will last your tort a long while.

p.s. - Pretty little tort :)

I appreciate your concern but my tort has cuttlebone, you can see a picture of him with it in post #18.

Well Clunker is 5months old now. I'm ready for warmer weather so we can start building his new enclosure. I've already got an idea of how I want it.
He is averaging a %10 weight gain each week! (I did math and it strained my brain)IMG_20180203_124910290.jpg

Clunker is looking great ! My little ones have had his weight at the age of a half year too.
The more these little critters grow, the more they can eat, the faster they grow! !:D

I decided to take a close up pic of Clunker's shell. It's alot easier to see the growth pattern when he is not trying to walk away.
I may be biased, but I think it looks great.
Tomorrow is his weight update!
