When I was checking her tail the hinge snapped at my finger. It's like a finger stuck at the door's hinge. Anyone experienced?

I don't have hingeback experience, however, I've gotten a finger stuck in a box turtle a few times. That muscle is SO powerful!!

I almost forgot about box turtles... Hingebacks are also very powerful.

Ha! When we used to import a lot of them, on learned where not to stick one's finger...
Much more powerful than a boxie. It's the back hinge you have to worry about. Always seemed to catch my little finger.
With time, they let you go. Your finger will heal. The respect happens right away.

Luckily before I bought her when I checked the tail she didn't catch my finger. I didn't know about the closing hinges until I got home...
