I was hanging out with my torts today, and I thought I would take some pictures of the platynota to compare with ones I took last year when I got them. I was even a little bit surprised when I looked back at the old pictures. You just don't realize how much they are growing when you see them every day. At least it's nice to know that they are doing something useful with the ridiculous amount of food they eat.
This was June 2011. The first three lined up along the SHORT end of tub.
This is them today in the same tub. They don't have quite as much room to move around.
Here are a few more.
The biggest one is about 6 1/2" now.
This is such a great species to keep. I would love to get more of them eventually. I highly recommend them to anyone who is considering them.
