His people are fentanyl users and pushers who got busted, a friend tried to help w/the dog, but she is pregnant...so I ended up with a dog! He's way suffering seperation anxiety, he's never had a toy, never chased a ball. He's afraid of everything, he walks w/his feet making high steps in the tall grass, they didn't have a yard. But he's very smart, does pull on a leash, he's sweet as hell. But when he gets excited, he jumps high in the air, and licks me on the way past my face...anyway...I just hope I can do right by him1180.jpg
oh...he's 40 pounds of Border Collie mix

He looks like a nice dog and should learn quickly with his Border Collie genes. Good for you for taking him away from a problem home.

Good luck with him!

If anyone can help him to live a better life, it's you, Maggie.

How do/did your cats react to him? And vice-versa?

So far the cats and he are pretending to ignore each other...last night tho Lil Sh*t snuck up on Max and took a sniff...
the dog is a really chill dog, and still more trouble than any 25 tortoises...lol ( I'm so lazy)

This is what Wikipedia has to say: "Calico cats are almost exclusively female except under rare genetic conditions, e.g. in the case of chimerism or Klinefelter syndrome."
It's one of 2 cats that have taken over my yard

Yes, calicos are female. Very rare for one to be a male.
They must feel you and your home is a safe place for them. Some food and fresh water daily would help them and in return they will help keep varmits under control. Especially the female, they are better hunters than males.

I have been feeding them. But, I have a feeling that a lot of people are feeding them

I absolutely didn't doubt what you said, I just wanted to find out how rare it is for them to be male.
