Here is an easy way to get your fix and to check on your torts. I put an old iPhone in each enclosure with protected cases on them, and downloaded an app called presence. You can do all kinds of things with this app. It will record video anytime there is motion and alert your phone, you can log on and just watch and at night you can remotely turn the flash light on the phone and see if everything is ok. It takes away from the stress and makes it very easy to check up on them and not always stressing them too. Here is a couple of photos I just took while I'm at work.ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1427395696.191897.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1427395705.792592.jpg

That is a great idea. But then I'm afraid I wouldn't get any work done because I'd be checking on my tortoise all the time :)

Haha, that's true. I only do when motion detection goes off.

I love that idea. Too cool. Can you post a pic of how you have the phones in there and what app is it?

Absolutely amazing notion, but far too high-tech for me.
But then I spend hours a day watching my Tidgy anyway.

It's very simple, it's pretty cool to see how active they are when we aren't around.

The cam runs off my wifi and I keep it plugged into power all the time. You get alerts if the power gets unplugged. It's amazing all stuff it will do

Thanks. Do you still have to have the old phones on a service provider?

This is it, just sitting in the corner, I've been working on a stand at work, I just haven't finished it yet.

I know we have talked about this before...but....Lets try again and maybe I will get it. I have the I-phone that is in the cage, and I down load the app on the I-phone. Then do I need to down load the app on the Android phone that I have with me at work? Does it even work between the Apple and the Android? I am better at growing flowers!!

Okay, I am not good with this kind of stuff, sorry. So, if I have an old iPhone, but I don't have it on a cellular service plan, I can still down load the app?
I also have my current iphone and my ipad, can I just use those two?
Thanks:)

Yes put the app on all three, as long as you have wifi you can still access the App Store on the old iPhone. Create one account and sign in on all 3 devices and it will sync up

I have an old android phone nothing wrong with it, just upgraded. I'm gonna try this although sometimes I feel technology has surpassed me. Thanks for the info and how to. Very cool idea.
