Hello, I notice on our tortoise under his chin theres like a little brown spot.. I already searched for different sources and threads and nothing says a brown spot on the chin. Can you guys give me an idea about what is this brownspot? And is this a major concern?

It does look kind of swollen to me which is a little concerning, let me get these guys to have a look for you @wellington @Yvonne G @Tom

In the meantime if you could share a bit on how he’s kept, that would be great! Might help us notice if anything is off

What are your temperatures like? Ie basking temp(directly under the bulb), overall day temps, night temps?
What kind of basking bulb are you using specifically? Packaging photos are good if you have any
What’s your indoor uv type?
How’s humidity reading?
What kind of substrate?

A photo of the set up would be wonderful! If you’re willing to share! Welcome to the forum🐢💚

Hard to say what it is. Could be a scrape, could be worse. For now I would run in some OTC antibiotic cream daily and keep an eye on it. If there are no changes after a week, you could switch to antifungal cream for a week.
Keep an eye on it.

So, Im living in Indonesia where the weather at my place during 9AM - 2AM are really hot, and the humidity can reach up to 93 degrees fahrenheit, we turn off the heat lamp whenever it gets really hot

Is he in a closed set up? How do you maintain your humidity? The reason it’s recommended to raise them in closed chambers is because no matter your climate, to maintain the heat and ground temperatures you need in an indoor enclosure, it’s best being closed. If where you live keeps the enclosure itself above 80 at all times then you won’t need ceramic bulbs, when your basking light is on, check that directly underneath is 95f, the rest around 80-85, then obviously always turn it off at night. What’s humidity reading inside the enclosure?
