is it just my tortoise or has anyone else seen their tortoise sleeping and then the tort starts moving his/her legs and head around?

Yes, and it's friggin' adorable!!!!

I think they might have some sort of dreaming, because one of mine will move it's head more, like it's trying to sleep-eat or something. But that's just my opinion.

Mine digs into the wall in her sleep with her eyes closed and her head all cuddled up. So I'm not sure about dreaming, but I am sure about sleep walking. :)

There's an article I read about bearded dragons being able to dream. Maybe that means torts can too.

It would be interesting to hook up some little sensors that they use for people to monitor their REM activity and see what tortoises do.
