Tortoise question about hibernation

My tortoise is a few months old should I put her into hibernation?

It has always been my recommendation to wait until your tortoise is at least 3 years old before allowing them to hibernate. I feel that because they are in captivity, it gives them a better start in life to be kept up and fed during their first couple winters.
