Unusual question

vandals thought it would be fun to place their initials on my big male red foots shell in nail polish.
any thoughts on how to remove without using acetone or some other harmful solvent?

If it were one of mine I would just leave it alone.
It'll eventually all flake off.

I too would leave it, and sooner or later it will peel off, so do not worry too much about it.
