What are these guys??

hey all,
I was given a couple of tortoises. I was told they were sulcata, but I suspect they are desert tortoises. Thoughts? I need to know if I should expect them to be hibernating or not! Thanks for any help!

Desert torts !as far as hibernation. I don't recamend hibernation the first year you have any tort , so can see the torts diet and health . After that go ahead . And there is nothing that says you have to hibernate any tort !

I agree with what they are and for you not to hibernate them the first year of ownership.

Thanks for the quick replys! I will keep them warm this winter then. I thought they needed to hibernate. Great to be learning about them already!
