What kind of box turtle?

What box turtle is best for a beginner, and why. Also, what are the sizes of enclosures reccomended for each species?

I have learned that no baby box turtle is a beginner turtle. I have three eastern box turtles and I love them to death, but they require much of my attention. If you want to start out with a baby boxie of any kind, please do your research to make sure you give it quality care. Good luck!

Baby box turtles are very hard to raise. They are so small that they dehydrate easily and quickly. However, larger box turtles are great first pets. The 3-toe being the most readily available.
