This tortoise is pretty old and the shell looks dry. Could you get a picture right after a soak. I am thinking greek tortoise because of the flaring of the scutes.
No he is not so old i think he is maximum 20 years old. And he is not so big , he is about 7 inches . I think he lives in very miserable condition and this is why looks so dry and unhealthy

Can you gently clean the shell and the underneath? Post pictures for better ID of your tortoise.

You can you a soft bristle toothbrush.

This can be a Greek tortoise, but subspecies with "skirts" are less common. A photo of clean plastron (bottom shell) can help - Marginated tortoises often have distinct triangular pattern.

The user is located in Cyprus, I can tell you without even looking at the photos that he does not have a russian or a marginated since they are not available in the local pet trade market unless it was a some special order. 99.9% of torts sold at local petshops here are Greek testudos. You can also find leopard, redfoots and sulcatas but only the last 3 years or so not 20 years ago when this tortoise was young.

What troubles me is that my greeks are still brumating this time of the year and seeing this one awake is troublesome since I doubt you Konstantinos has the proper setup installed for keeping a tort awake all year round.

I suggest you visit Josef reptile house in Larnaca he might give you tips on how to best raise your tortoise. Also check Tom's guide on this forum it's far more reliable than anyone in Cyprus can advice you.

Welcome to the tort family.
