Mine kinda linger around 9-10 am ....also they come by to double check in the evening....just incase I notice them and feel sorry for their little butts (about a 50/50 chance)...but I really try to refrain from double day goodies as I really want them to graze some as well...good for muscle and good for health reasons....but sometimes a flower or two may randomly appear in their yards in the evening and then the flower goddess quickly disappears so as not to look into their "feed me" eyes.... :p

My Tort eats when...basically...when the food is there....
I prefer to feed him in the morning when he first awakens about 10-11am i do it in the morning because his heat bulb is turned off at 11.00pm and his heat mat comes on and i put it back on when i get up which is sometimes...6...7...8...9.....whenever my eyes open...but he will not come out of his log hide till about 10-11am
but id' like to think he eats at any time when the food is there....
he paces himself....goes over eats....goes away and repeats this for an hour....but if it is fruit it will start to smell pretty fast with the heat inside the enclosure! :D i always spray his greens with water.....(wash the food then mist it) i like to think this keeps it fresh for a little longer! :D :D
^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
Hope this helped

Boulder eats in the am around 8 when the sun has warmed his enclosure and again at night around 4 or 5 when I spray down the enclosure.

Too funny.

Usually, I soak him in the morning and then feed him after spraying down his inside enclosure. He then goes outside. I always debate with myself whether to feed in the morning or let him graze outside first when he is hungry. I don't want him to become dependent on my feedings and not graze as much as he should. But then I worry about everything  And, I feed him again in the late afternoon or evening. How ever much he wants to eat. But, I only give him healthy choices.

When they are inside, I try to get some food out by late morning. If they eat it all up right away, I'll give them some more in the afternoon. When they are outside, they graze all day.

Coopers get fed around 7:00 pm. He too will start coming out looking around to see if he has food in his dish around 6 or so.

My outside sulcatas eat for most of the day, but will just sleep in the shade during the heat peak if it's in the mid-to-high 90s or more. My Giant Yellowfoot tortoises roam and eat in the evening, night, and early morning. My Burmese blacks activity patterns overlap part of the other two groups, but they don't seem active when it's actually dark. My babies mainly sleep and occasionally wake up to eat.
