Zilla Heat lamp

I use a purple zilla heat lamp... I always have is this ok I heard they can be bad?

Do you mean the black night heat bulb (sometimes appears purple )...is this the only source of heat during the day? What species of tort are you doing this for? Do you also add any daylight/bright day bulb for light during the day hours?

I don't like using colored bulbs day or night. During the day I want it bright and "natural-ish" looking. At night I want it dark. If you can see with that bulb at night, so can your tortoise.

Yes it is the dark one. Of course I have the reptisun 10.0 UVB bulb. It's for a Russian so I turn it off at nigh

Is the reptisun a long tube or the compact screw in type?
