Hello All!

Wallace is my Redfoot. He hatched in the beginning of April 2015. I have a concern about his plastron. The first picture is his plastron while he was still at the breeder's ~September 12. The second is a picture I took last week. Are the imperfections/creases normal? They do not feel any softer than the rest of his plastron. His humidity is 80+, temps 84+, top layer of substrate is dry.

Thank you!WALLACEPREVIOUSPLASTRON.jpeg WALLACEPLASTRON.jpg

That might be the start of some shell rot.

The imperfection on the higher left and along the center were there before he was shipped, which is why I wasn't sure if it was shell rot or something else. My camera is just significantly better than the breeder's which shows more detail. What should I do if it might be the beginning of shell rot? Aah!

A toothbrush works well as the brush.
By the way, cute tort.
