Hello all my tortoise is around 2 years old and has suddenly stoped eating he is drinking and is still moving about but I I’ve noticed a small cut on his neck and that his nose seems to be a little bit runny I was just wondering if any one could help before I take him to the vets as I’m a bit of a worrier

Is the cut in the farthest back part of the mouth?
Looks like an abscess to me. If it is, it could hurt and might he why he doesn't want to eat.
Not sure how to tend too it, being so close to the mouth.
Maybe @Yvonne G knows what could he done.

Taking him to a good reptile would, I think, be a good thing to do. But make sure it is a reputable reptile vet, or you may end up being sorry you took him. Best of luck and thanks for caring!

It’s right at the end of his neck it’s not been bleeding or anything and he lets me clean it no problem so I’m not sure if it’s sore or not x

I'm not sure, but I THINK there's a cut at the corner of his mouth. This usually happens when they're climbing up the wall and they slip down. The slip causes the mouth to catch on the wall and open too wide and it cuts that area at the corner. Now it's painful and he doesn't want to open his mouth to eat. Just dab on some first aid ointment like Neosporin and don't allow a scab to form. Keep it soft with the ointment. Once it heals and stops hurting he'll eat again.

And make sure his beak doesn’t need filing or trimming.
