Sleeper for sureMy 1967 Ford Fairlane GT. Swapped out the original 390 engine for a 427 engine, bored and stroked to 492 cubic inches, 13.5:1 compression. Engine dynoed at 650 hp. Was street legal and ran sub-11 second quarter mile times at Atlanta Dragway. View attachment 366373View attachment 366374
Hey Jeff,65-66 Stingray Vette with the T top....Metallic Blue....
Wasn't avail in the 427 package was it? I'm a bike guy not a car guy...
Most popular dream-car....very nice!
"Fairlane"...= light
Is that a "Maverick" ponycar 67 fastback I see lurking?
I am a wanna be Corvette owner...my daily driver is a 1989 Camaro IROC...I drove it off the showroom floor in 1988...There is nothing electric on it, handcrank windows etc. It was built to go fast and it does...I can't name all the stuff like you can...but...the first engine was a 327, then I got a 350, when I drove trk and made money I put in an LT1...with all kindsa speed crap, , bigger or shved cam (I forget), something with the pistons, speed chip in the computer freakin fast...Personally...I have taken 3 driving courses...The Bob Bondurant school of driving...a drifting course, and a road race course...all in my IROC...the drifting was most fun, as I wiped out those Jap bee things and their 20 year old drivers. Then I went to truck driving school and drove over the road...Hey Jeff,
The car in the background in the engine photo is a 1967 Mustang which belonged to the owner of the machine shop where the engine was built.
There were no T-top Corvettes made in the 63-67 years, which collectively are known as the C2 generation. The T-top didn't become available until 1968 when the third generation of Corvettes (known as C3) went into production. The T-top coupe was so popular that Chevrolet discontinued making Corvette convertibles from 1976 until 1986 when convertible Corvettes were reintroduced.
The 427 engine could have been ordered with any of the C3 Corvettes, so it was available with the T-top cars if the owner wished.
Very nice car and with great engine mods you did. I know what you mean about the young import drivers.I am a wanna be Corvette owner...my daily driver is a 1989 Camaro IROC...I drove it off the showroom floor in 1988...There is nothing electric on it, handcrank windows etc. We had a model A ford pick-up when we were first married. But those were back in the days of the brownie box camera, so no digital pictures of it.I have a mix of things mostly newer stuff I have pictures of. I do have a 65 Impala 2 door hard top and a 71 gmc c10 that are at my parent's house in South Dakota. But here's the small collection I have here.
2010 gmc sierra 4x4 lsx376 800hp
1991 gmc sierra solid axle swaped 4x4 383 stroker 400hp
1929 model A ford standard coupe. 4 cyl 40hp.
Current works in progress.
2014(red truck)gmc sierra with 2016 denali face lift. Currently stock engine. Saving up for a 6.6l gas engine and 10 speed transmission upgrade.
2018 (black truck) Currently stock engine
So far added power heat/vented leather seats full center console. Denali gauge cluster. Oem Off-road light switch.
I'm trying to make upgrades but still look clean like it came from the factory that way.
Sorry they're not all classic auto's

We love the model A we get about 500 miles a season on it. In September we take it to Dearborn Michigan for the old car festival. It get drove all day for 2 day straight cruising around Greenfield Village. We had a model A ford pick-up when we were first married. That would have been a Gen 3 transAm...badassed car!Very nice car and with great engine mods you did. I know what you mean about the young import drivers.
Your car reminds me of the Trans Am I once bought for my son. It had the huge bird decal on the hood and was faster than what he needed at the time, but he loved it, so I bought it.
View attachment 366415I don't have any pictures of my dad's actual car, but he had two of these that he cleaned up, a black '36 and a sky blue pink '35. I learned to drive (and actually 'stole' the '35 frequently ) to drive up and down the highway at our beach.
I just went back to the baginning of this thread, and all my pictures have already been posted. (face slap!!) What a dweeb!!!
The 80's are making a comeback 🤣🤣😂🤣😂….
I haven’t heard of the word “dweeb”
Since like… 1985???
😂🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣😂🤣
She figured out how to use a bobby pin in the ignition...my Dad parked this car in an alley in SF every/all night... I was super young when my Dad called the cops on her...He was trying to give her a lesson, but I was most impressed with the "good" daughter stealing my Dad's car...And Yvonne...The black Pheoten w a 1946 not '36...View attachment 366415I don't have any pictures of my dad's actual car, but he had two of these that he cleaned up, a black '36 and a sky blue pink '35.
