Sight barriers to make yard seem larger?

His (adult) yard is a rectangular 22'x45' and flat with some grass and weeds. Will partial walls connected to the sides make the area feel larger for him since he likes to patrol the perimeter? Is it okay to build small hills in the middle because he may be able to see over his walls?

Obstacles and sight barriers will break up that perimeter patrol, but I don't think that will make it seem bigger.

Hills are great, and seeing over the walls is not a problem.

An adult sulcata needs more space than that. I suggest 50x50 as a minimum.

It's my limit on space so thought the extra walking might make it seem larger. Thank you.

Instead of walls, I'm trying to place a lot of safe plants. It breaks things up and allows for nibbles. The plants I don't want completely eaten, I'm keeping in really big planters. I also used an old tire for a barrier to plant in. Although my sulcata is not an adult yet, so who knows if that will keep working.

Hi and welcome! May we see some pictures of the tortoise and the enclosure?
