Dear Natrah - I'm just reporting in to say that my eye is getting better -a bit sore still, and my headaches have been pretty bad, but I am putting in all the drops, and certainly my vision is better - I am amazed how much more I can see, and how bright colours are ! At night I have to fix a plastic shield across my eye with tape, to protect it from getting knocked in the night - I thought I would have a lot of trouble sleeping with that on, but it hasn't been too bad. I have to go for a checkup in a few weeks, and am hoping they will say that I can get my other eye done soon - now I know what to expect it will be less worrying.

Dear Natrah -we have had some very weird weather -quite sunny and warm this morning -then suddenly, in the afternoon, some very heavy rain and hail ! - then back to sunshine again ! Richard was glad he had decided not to take Zola out earlier. So Zola had an extra long stroke, during which he decided to move across me so he was lying over my heart, and I wrapped him in my arms for an extra long cuddle - he was very contented, I think, and didn't resent missing out on his walk !
The swallows are spending quite a lot of time in our car-port,and we are pretty sure they are last year's ones -which is so lovely - coming back to the same place and seemingly remembering us too, as they are not at all afraid when we go in there.
I think i told you our robin has been around, and taking worms away - I am hoping to get a glimpse of his red feathers soon, as I think they will look a lot brighter after my op !
I will be having fewer eye drops soon, which is nice, because Richard has to put them in - I am too shaky, and I don't want to waste the drops the hospital gave me, and end up without enough !
Love to you and Jackie and all from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

Edward I hope the storm has stopped now it's been a nice day here but colder and I couldn't really put Jacky. Anyway she enjoyed basking under the lamp and she paced around the enclosure a few times. Angie I'm hoping that your headaches reduce as your sight improves. We still say goodnight to everyone as well including @Chefdenoel, Sylvia, Squirt and Sally. I have been watching 'Keeping Up Appearances' on BBC 4 and finding even funnier than when I first saw it.

Goodnight everyone

I saw another butterfly today but it didn't want me to identify although it was orange.

As I said before goodnight everyone!

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy
Dear Natrah - Zola had a lovely walk on the breakwater today - there were a couple of groups of young women from some organisation (Richard wasn't sure what ) -who all fell in love with Zola, and were so happy to meet him !
I finish one lot of my eye drops tomorrow, but the others have to go on for several weeks -still, they seem to be doing good, as my eye is becoming less sore.
Goodnight and love from Angie xxxxxxx

Dear Natrah - Richard spotted a fieldfare in our crab-apple tree -first time ever. And the swallows are definitely settled in our car-port. Last year they lost one brood due to the heat, but at least that didn't stop them coming back.
My vision is settling pretty well, but it is quite weird seeing differently in one eye - I keep closing one eye and then the other to see the difference.! For example,I was looking at a black bag I bought recently, and discovered it was actually navy blue !
Love to all from Angie xxxxxx

Good afternoon everyone!

Just watching Blue **** taking their first flight from their nest to the neighbour's bird feeders. Angie I kept an eye out for Fieldfares all through winter but I had. I wish I'd been as lucky as Richard. I'm glad your sight is improving and I hope your headaches are okay. Jacky is looking forward to my friend's vegetable patch.

Bye for now

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy

PS: Wow! The first Fieldfares in your crabapple tree!

They are only just laying their eggs here. Do they have time to hatch out twice in one year over there?

Our swallows are definitely nesting in the car-port, and we seem to have great t*ts nesting in the nest box outside the kitchen window - I don't think we have had any there before -only bluet*ts previously.

Dear Natrah - I have got an appointment at the hospital for an eye check-up,on 20May,which I think means that if all is ok, I should get my other eye op pretty soon ! I shall be very glad to have it all over, as I've found it all very stressful, and feel very tired and even shakier than usual - but I know it's worth it, anyway. Richard is being very kind about helping me with the eye drops and so on.Once this is all over, I shall work on getting used to my hearing aids -and hopefully getting a bit fitter so I can walk to the breakwater and see Zola trotting along, which is probably what he is doing with his dad right now !
Yesterday they met some Australians, who told him that all tortoises are illegal there.

Good evening everyone!

Angie I've noted that date down and it would be lovely for you to get your second eye done. It sounds like your doing very well and it would be lovely for you to see beautiful Zola. I hope those Australians enjoyed meeting Zola.

I came home to a fine mess and Jacky was annoyed with me for moving out of the way to clean it up. However I just wanted to let everyone know that I have just seen my first bat of the year and I'm very pleased 🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇.

Goodnight

Natrah

Anyone else have bats visiting them. Just trying to remember the name of Angie's bat?

Natrah
